Coaches Certification
Continuing in 2008, all NEW Youth League coaches are required to complete a coaching certification course. The 3.5 hour course will be divided into two parts: a general overview of coaching responsibilities, followed by “sport specifics” to provide coaches with the necessary tools to improve practices and make them fun. Just a reminder to all coaches:
Every team must have a certified coach on the bench at all Town of Tonawanda Youth League Games. Proper id (NAYS membership card and TOT issued photo id) is required and must be presented to proper officials.
Coaches who are returning from 2006, must submit their annual membership renewal form (sent from NAYS) to the director of the league in order to have membership status continue to be active. Failure to do so will result in the need to take the certification course over again.
