All players participating in our youth ice hockey programs are placed on teams through the process of a draft. Our staff assigns players to teams with the main objective of keeping the teams as evenly matched as possible. Parents can request to play on a certain team, but we cannot guarantee each and every request if it will result in an imbalanced league. All coaches must be certified through USA Hockey and NYSCA; meeting the specific coaching requirements respective to each age group. In addition, all coaches are required to obtain certification through the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS).  This certification is taught through the Youth, Parks & Recreation Department.  For details on USA coaching seminars call our main office at 831-1001.
